Below are simple descriptions of the different modules that make up SI-3000.

SI-Administration Manager - This is the core module that is utilized to create and maintain the SI-3000 system. It provides for user and user group definition, menu definition, system access/security, data definition, query set-up and management. This module is controlled through SQL 7 databases, which reside on an NT Server.

SI-Client Viewer - This module is required to be installed on each PC workstation. PC workstations that are loaded with the SI-Client Viewer are also known as "DEDICATED CLIENTS". Dedicated Clients have constant access to SI-3000's applications. The Dedicated Clients can be connected to one/multiple servers and one/multiple databases through "OPEN" ODBC connectivity. The SI-Client Viewer also provides the presentation of the electronic file folder, which displays the data from the Database and the associated Images. Only one license is required per client, no matter how many different SI-3000 application modules are included in the system.

SI-Client Express (10 Dedicated) - This module provides users the capability to highlight a unique index number from within any application running on a Windows workstation. SI-Express integrates with host-based applications and text based information, (i.e. e-mails, Word documents, Web pages). Using a key combination (Ctrl + F11), SI-Express can either open directly to a SI-3000 electronic file folder (up to three folders can be opened simultaneously) or display a drop down menu of available queries (Ctrl + F12). This integration requires no custom programming on the application side. SI-Express utilizes SI-3000's security system to guarantee proper access.

SI-Photo Imaging - This is the application module that constitutes the "Mugshot" capabilities of the system. This includes mugshots, scars, marks, and tattoos. This module allows the user to display and print line-ups of multiple images that match a user's defined search. 

SI-Photo Capture Workstation- Mugshots - Required for the real-time capture of images from a live or recorded video source.

SI Output Generator - Required for the design of customized output such as badges, wristbands, special reports with imbedded images, warrant Posters, etc. The Output module allows static text and images to be combined with data from the host database and captured images, to create output templates. These can easily be printed from within an electronic file folder. 

SI-EFM (Electric Folder Management) - As the name implies, this application module provides for comprehensive document imaging and management. This module also provides the ability to capture and manage all image types such as digital crime scenes, live video, digital and even voice files. This module eliminates the need to keep paper. This module provides two major benefits, among many; it reduces the physical storage needs and greatly enhances the ability to quickly and easily access stored documents. When using the electronic file folder, this module provides the feature of interactively importing information into the system. Using the Interactive Import Module, users can import files (WORD, EXCEL, Note Pad, etc.) or images captured by digital cameras. This module also allows “Twain” scanners to be attached to any dedicated client and utilized for scanning low volumes of paper and photos. 

SI-EFMS Batch Scan/QA – This module provides the ability to capture, index and store large volumes of documents. Using Kofax compatible document scanners, paper can be converted to electronic images at a rate between 36 and 160 pages per minute. Once scanned, this module provides the ability to view, quality check and index the images. When performing the index function, SI-3000 interactively verifies key index information against the host database. 

SI-Archive Manager – This module allows the systems administrator to identify information that is being stored on the SI-3000 and moves that information to CD-ROM or DVD-ROM disks. SI-3000 utilizes ROM technology because of its WORM (Write Once Read Many) capability and its open format. When the information is written to ROM, the SI-Archive Manger automatically updates the SI-3000 system database with the information new storage location. Once the information is written to the ROM media, the information can be removed from the server’s hard drive. (This module requires the purchase of supported juke boxes or stack readers and their associated software.) 

SI-Enterprise Manager Intranet/Internet/Mobile (5 Concurrent to Site License) - This module provides the capability to access the data residing in any ODBC compliant database and images managed by SI-3000 with a Web browser (e.g. latest version of Internet Explorer). It provides access for an unlimited number of users who share concurrent access ports, which provide view, print, lineup, and data capture capabilities via secured intranet or the Internet. This module can be used in portable and mobile environments for distribution of information without the necessity of installing and maintaining software on each workstation. (Additional SQL licenses can be added to enhance response times.) 

SI-Offline Capture Module – This module provides the agency with 2 methods to capture mugshots and Scars, Marks, & Tattoos, when 1 – the host system is down and 2 – when the Network is down. 

SI-CD-ROM Creation –For Portable Information Access - This SI-3000 module provides the capability to create a re-writeable CD(s) consisting of an ACCESS Database (client defined search information) and the associated images extracted from the SI-3000 system. Once created these CDs can be used “STAND-ALONE” in a Windows 95,98,NT device that has a CD-Rom and has been loaded with the proper SI-3000 software. 

 SI-Data Entry Module - Utilizing WYSIWYG features, this module provides the means to create data entry screens that can be used to interactively update any ODBC defined database. “What you see is what you get.”
